Arctic in as much recharge as it's going to get

 

Europe is interesting.  More and more Arctic air is coming down, so this is a full A8, maybe an A9 by the duration.  Note the cute little channel hitting the Med.

It's all freezing at night.  No snow, though.

The Giant Ice Machine Wheel of Coldness is still pouring out to Europe.  You can see that tiny channel freezing the south of France.  The bottom spill of the vortex was going through Alaska and is going down.  This leaves room for another spill hitting us.

The weather people should have some great stories for all of this.  

ps so this year we have a two-cylinder engine with the Arctic vortex.  Last year it was just one.  It is always going, at the top or the bottom.  Next year it will fire on all cylinders.

ps the weather people are making a stab at physics.  However, they are as good at it, as sweenie is to acting.

ps the natgas spot market is down because that directly reflects the daily temperature.  The futures market is where you need a forecast.  The sweet spot right now is the 3-month, and that seems to be up, if I can figure it out, which is painful.  I give a 50% chance of running out of gas in March, but that will destroy the whole market, so Feb is best.  Still, I'm not putting any money into it, and you shouldn't either...
