They have tension cracks and local failures. La, la, la. The state makes a feeble effort to stop them. They go to their lawyers. La la la, and then KAPOW!

Had a similar instance here where a slope was logged that shouldn't have been. Fifteen years later the survivors below it found out how forests stabilize mountain slopes in the Pacific Northwest and what happens when the tree roots finally rot away.
