Lithium batteries

This whole thing will go away when we get the solid-state batteries.  However, for now, you can't beat the power density of free lithium.  There is that magic battery from Finland.

This is 99% lithium, or it follows the general plan.  Boy charges his lithium scooter in the garage, under the hanging patio furniture.  Bang!

The lithium fires are a million to one individually, but regularly go on on a community basis.  That why the fire people are all poopy on them.  So, you lean the e-bike up against an empty brick wall, and you install a smoke detector for the garage.  Amazingly, in our lithium age, there is no requirement to do so.

The fire always starts out small with tons of smoke.  My tests showed that.  With a smoke detector, you can get the hanging fire extinguisher and put out the secondary fire, if there is one.  I wouldn't spray the battery itself, because you are better off just letting the lithium oxidize.  The oxidized smoke is as harmless as my bbq deciding to flare.

This leads to the general problem with China quality control.  You can have a perfect company, and wonderful products, like I buy all the time, and then, wham!  A most horrendous quality failure.  The ISO quality standard is so boring it makes your brain fall out, but the standard lays out small-minded consistency.  So, if your quality is good, it is always good.  In China, they pick parts out of a bin in the local market.  I buy small things all the time, but the failure is one out of ten.  With my battery shaver, this leaves me in the lurch, until I can wait the week to get a new one.  They are cheap, so I bought two, and of course, this latest one has lasted forever.

I can't trust them for large complex things.  I was looking for a fancy toilet and the Chinese one is the best.  But, a lady said the plastic with the foam dispenser reacted badly with the foam and had a horrendous smell for a week.  It went away, and she was happy, but Hello?  That means in a near-perfect run of toilets, one had the wrong interior plastic.  Same thing happened for me and a Chinese kitchen tap.  Started to crack with the plastic parts inside, and luckily I caught it before it exploded.  Actually had to go out and buy an American Standard tap.  That never happens with them.

So, when we get a lot of Chinese electric cars, some will blow up.  Maybe not.  I've bought things of perfect quality from branded companies, so I think they are following ISO.  But who knows?

ps just to be fair to China, the Korea toilets seem just as bad.  You can pay 3 or 4 times more for a Japanese toilet, but that might as well be tumpified in solid gold.

ps so for small things it is cheaper to replace, except for plumbing things.

This was a test of the mega-drought system

In the event of a real MD, get a water-saving toilet.

Yes kiddies, the stagnant zone has been popped like a bubble.  The warmies don't know they're dead yet, so we might still see their headlines.  An Arctic spill has crashed through, and it looks like an ocean plume fire hose might hit California.

Very sad, but I knew the Arctic spill factory was still at full blast.

Poor warmies, they really only got one full day of infinite glory.  Now, it's back to the rock roofs.

ps for Toronto we have an infinite rain train, along the upper border.

Life on the edge of a mega-drought

So far, nothing can break the Great Heat Lock living in the US, like a giant illegal immigrant from the equator.  But this is all US, and the result of no heat energy from the Pacific.  A Pacific plume is now drifting down, but it is bouncing off the Shield of Doom.

I still have hope that a big Arctic spill can burst this bubble, but a little bit of cold air is bouncing off.

You can see it's trying to chew at it, but it's like a puppy chewing at the tail of the big dog.

Meanwhile, in Toronto, we live on the edge, and getting mixed weather, bouncing up and down over freezing.  Snow and ice.

The heat lock is interesting.  This is the mechanism for the great droughts seen in the ancient cliff dweller sites.  Should this thing hang around, it turns everything into a desert.  However, these are early days into our major ice cycle, and it will probably get swept away.  Maybe next year.

A stagnant summer, as expected, will 'fuel' the warmies for another year, through a savage stagnant winter.  I'm not going to put up their headlines of total victory in this war.

Too many lithium gadgets in the house

This is funny.  There's a one in a million chance that a random lithium battery will explode randomly.  I demonstrated this recently by hitting old phones with a 10 pound steel hammer.  It has the power of an old-school road flare.  Do not store these batteries with your gas-hoarding cansisters.  (Seriously, the last gas shock had my crazy neighbour storing lots of gas in his garage.)

Always store them in a manner that doesn't instantly explode, and have lots of smoke detectors.  Mine all went off when the phone exploded.

But I went wrong with a little gadget for vacuum sealing small bags.  It was the size of a small flashlight, and I threw it with the pots and pans under the induction cooktop.  Lithium batteries discharge at a few percent per month, and this one went down to the level where the on-off button went unstable,  This was not a physical switch, but a standard latch-circuit button.

So, suddenly there is a buzzing sound under the induction cooktop.  OMG that thing is expensive!  I thought it was a fan going nuts.  Amazingly, I turned the power on and off to reset it, and the noise stopped.  Then later it started again.  I turned off all the power to the kitchen.  Still going!

We started emptying the shelves to see the cooktop better from underneath.  As my wife was carrying things away, I tracked the noise source leaving the kitchen.  Looked at the stuff, and there is was, making noise.  I am discharging it outside, and calling it a fire hazard, for sensitive family reasons.

Doug Ford to Commiefy All Pricing

Thank goodness, forget all the 'free will' stuff, we are going for hard comminess.  In the Soviet Union, the idea was to price all toilet paper at a nickel.  Happiness for the proletariat!  Hardly a speck of that paper was produced, due to the fact the factories were commie run.

Could you get your nickel toilet paper?  No, lineups around the block when there was a hint of shipment.  Like cabbage patch dolls.  It is our greatest scam that somehow TS tickets are priced at $5 when they come out.  Is this a tax avoidance thing?  Nobody gets the tickets at that price.  All the tickets go to kickback resellers who then sell at $500 and ship money in suitcases to the organizers.

Now, all this corruption will be gone, thanks to a heavy hand of commyness.  That has always worked in various countries that have tried Marxism.  I am proud of our government to give it a try.

Now, what could be the 'unintended' but totally obvious consequences?  I don't know.  I live next door to Doug and he's in favour of gunmanship.

ps  the title means 'all pricing' is dynamic.  Airline tickets, etc.

Iran Threatens to Blow Up Trump Ballroom

Oh, my!

Pacific plume squeezed

Not much today.  The plume is squeezed in a vice between the stagnant heat of the West, and cold air from the North.  This is giving Toronto a horrible clipperish thing.

We will soon have the collision of titanic forces, the Arctic spill and the stagnant heat lock.  The Arctic blob machine is going full blast.

ps I told you that stagnant air would be a big party.  They'll all run away when the cold comes.

ps and no hope for weather physics now

RSS temperature update

Yeah, these guys have updated to December.  They were always my favourite chart, but the controversies made them delay by a few months.

It shows the big 'missed El Nino' of 2024.  The warmies use that tiniest tick on the top of the curve to say that the world hit 1.5C over.  And they'll talk about that forever, since they don't have anything else.  The general rise is due to urbanization.

ps and this is the big thing for the warmies today 'Weather getting wilder"  There is no 'wilder' chart.  And they never show any chart any more.

ps and they can milk the coming 'monster El Nino' and create anxiety for months.  When it doesn't come, they just ghost.  They missed the real monster heating event of 2024.  Did anybody notice?

California in a perfect heat lock

We have two types of locks - heat and ice.  During a lock, the tropical plumes just go around.  I expect this for Toronto in the summer.  It's all due to weakness with the Pacific plumes because of the lack of heat energy.

There are signs that the Arctic is in classic recharge, so we have the big spills separated by a week or so.  This is what we had earlier into the winter.  It is probably the only thing that can blow out the heat lock.

ps the stagnant zone is spreading like a cancer.  However, I'm going 50% that the Arctic is just in recharge.  The micro heating event is now hooking strongly down.  It's a new pattern that may or may not last.

Lepreau goes to OPG for experts

Sorry, nobody will find this funny, but me.

I did it MYYYYY way!

90 years old and bitter that all the glory is gone.  Why is that?  Could it be that it is all expensive fantasy?  Anyway, this is just posturing for his book.  Only hard-core lefties buy books, so I'm sure there are a lot 'left' in the world.

Everything is so polarized now.  So after the right-wing run of failed wars, we'll get the lefties back, of unions and wasted money.  It's the circle of life.

Still just hints of the next Arctic spill

Exactly the same as last night.

We still have Pacific air coming in.

However, the cold is not being swept out as quickly as last time.  The video does not show conclusive wind patterns.  This is a blow-out with my 30% predictions.

New 30% predictions - the mag 8 cold blob is still setting up and should be formed by tomorrow.

ps stagnant, hot weather in the US west.  LA is in a temperature inversion.  Like I said, all blamed on clange.  This summer promises to be stagnant, and we'll have lots of climate change.

ps and in great news today, a Canadian buys a hunk of the Economist.  We now expect a full-blown charge to the physics side.

Ha!

ps this is the pattern of a classic 7 year California drought, but I doubt it will be stable.

Relentless weather to continue

I just liked the word 'relentless' and how it is cratering the house prices.  Nobody is buying in our neighbourhood.  The legitimate price may now be 50% off peak, but nobody wants to sell into that.  Can everybody hold out?  I would think we would have more distress sales by now.

Without going into the charts, I give a 30% chance I can see the next mag 8 cold spill setting up.  This will be much worse than this crap on my dog walk this morning.  Everything had pebbled ice on it, and the dog was sliding all over the place,  I had on my tungsten clips and was fine.  Tungsten has gone up 500% recently, thanks to youknowho.

Tomorrow, we should see it.  As well, the ocean current for the heating event is falling apart.  We won't get another one for a few weeks, if ever.

The us natgas price is untouched.  They are expecting warmth any day now.

Everybody and their dog are predicting it.  I need it for my tomatoes.  Unfortunately, it won't come.  Not a chance.  They'll just have to redefine it again, and again.

The most impressive thing for me is the perfect reconstruction of the 'Arctic Blob Factory', up in the Arctic Basin.  It was shattered by the micro heating event, and has come back, all brand new.  I expect 3 more massive spills before standard solar latitude heating (the daily sunshine) breaks it up.  We do have a tilted earth, and we do expect a summer.

ps I'm blathering on at 30-40%.  Tomorrow, if I see it, then it's 80%.  The concept of 2-3 more blobs is at 50%

Short but mighty blast

A true magnitude 7 blast from the Arctic.  But a Pacific plume will shove it away.

This is a surprise for the weather people.  Yesterday they had it stopped at the border, like the last few.  They don't calculate the kinetic energy.  With the heating event gone, we can expect a mag 8 next.

Huge snowflakes

I just had to do this.  These are coming right off the lake and are big fluffy blobs.

US Marines to secure 300 sq miles of hell

This is really rough stuff.  Makes the afgan look tame.  I don't know how far in you need to go to lose sight of the water, but I bet it's far.

Afgan had the caves.  I'm sure these guys have tunnels.  Pop out at night, let loose, and go back in.

I think 2500 marines on this map are a tiny pimple.

The rest of the world resists the call to sacrifice their navies

The US Navy is bigger than all the other navies combined.  Throwing in a few ships would add exactly 5% firepower, but 100% of the losses.  Trump does not want to smudge the paint on his ships.  It is impossible to defend against guerrilla tactics in that narrow straight, and no navy has done anything about drones and missiles.

So, after beating everybody up, he threatens to beat them up more, unless they agree to a very severe beating.  This is funny.

ps conversation as thus:

Nettyyahoo:  we're going in to assassinate people.  This will solve all our problems.

Trump:  Wait for us!

ps Iran has basically pressed 'The Big Red Button'.  All the crazies go underground to conduct irregular war, and only human shields are on the top.  There is nothing and no one to negotiate with.  We will have to give up on that oil for a while.  The US should just shut up everything.  Certainly not just letting Iran boats through for China.

ps the only peaceful turn-around was Nelson Mandela, who was a saint, and basically said, okay we won't kill you all.  And he was believed, and a peaceful power change.  If Trump said that, he wouldn't be believed, but he wouldn't say it.  He'd say "I'll kill you all."  And his clown men with big shoes would say "No quarter", which means 'kill you all'.  The worst is, of course, he just had a pop gun and big shoes.  A big freak-out when some human shield girls get killed, when the course of Isralie action is to kill everybody.

ps Neat headline:  Iran Becomes the Gaza Strip

Russia arms the shadow fleet

The rest of the world will have to get a little less whimpy on this.  Since Russia can't put a warship beside each oil tanker, it is arming them.  It will get the point that you can't board them with a helicopter any more.  You will just have to ask them to stop, and if they don't, you have to blow them up.

Electric trains have no physics in Canada

I think we are building more of these in Canada.  Really, they work so well in Europe.  You can see in the video that the problem is resonance.  This is a major physics problem that I have seen again and again.  Standard group-think engineers never deal with dynamics.  And, of course, we would have the cities saying 'we don't need no physics'.

It's a system of multiple springs.  Perfect for a chaotic reaction.  The first little bump caused by ice starts an explosion, and then everything starts bouncing.  You can see it in the video.  They say it was fine for years, and then a lot all at once.  That's the nature of the beast when you are running close to the chaos line.  You should never be there.  The 'third rail' system has more stiffness and redundancy.

This could all be solved by more contacts and extensive monitoring.  Naturally, you would have to use physics, which is not popular at this moment in time.  They'll just hobble up a handyman solution and wait for the next time.

Ontario wants to put in high-speed rail.  Problem is that the rail industry is in the stone age.  Look for more weird things the faster they go.  No problems in Japan and China.  Those guys eat and breathe physics.

ps I do find that the 'alcoholic personality' is merely addiction to anything stupid.  To hide your drinking you have to lie like a perfect angel.  This does take a lot of training and practice.  Addiction to power is as powerful as anything.  This results in a bombastic personality who thinks he can't do any wrong.

ps now we have to think of mushie.  His new spacex and Artie have no physics.  His has put them both together to sell for a trillion dollars.  Buy this stuff!

ps you can search and read my 'Water Laser' stuff, for the weirdest case of chaotic resonance ever.  They solved it by knocking down the station rating by 20%

Trump demands China bomb Iran

Iran is China's client state.  They do it to get oil, and they try to moderate Iran, but that is impossible.

China has its own concerns about oil supply, and is happy with Iran sneaking its own ships through.  If turnip still had a navy, they could seize all the Iran ships in the Indian Ocean.  Why don't they?  He's too busy trying to rig the next election.

Anyway, trump made a classic dictator error of listening to his yes-men, and thinking he could take over Iran in 3 days.

ps Trump steps on China and the rest of the world with new tariffs.

and then threatens to step on them more, if they don't get him out of his pickle

Meanwhile, his voter base is going to freeze, and all his attempts at rigging the election aren't going to work. Everybody just has to wait him out.

This is just my 'fun news' post.  I'll keep tacking on for the day

I really like this.  "Go Electric, energy comes from nothing"

Done with this for the day.  It's like a drug.

Back in the cold saddle again

Our micro heating event is over, and everything is roaring back.

These things come from little burps of reverse current, and this one reversed on the north side of the main stream.  The big 2024 heating event burst through the stream and punched into the southern ocean.

I was going to call this the "Fickle Finger of Warmth" in honour of our one day burst of warmth.

But then I saw this trumpy finger pointing down.

This is a full Arctic spill A7, that I thought I'd never see again - boo hoo.

And my Arctic spill factory is back in full production.  We might have more of these than turnip has tomahawk missiles.

It's all basic physics, people.

ps I am confident that an effective heat radiator has to  be a rapid ocean current change, that beats the thunderstorms, which are the best insulator.

War is Cold

The radar shows us in the middle of a big storm, but it isn't getting down to the ground.  Endless storms is our life, caused by a continuous war between the Arctic and the Gulf.

The blank zone where the winds meet is the storm.

We actually had another invisible heating event, but it is hooking down again.  The Pacific Plumes don't really show it.  A heating event like the last one would bring us Spring, but the physics says - Freeze, Suckers.

Earth to stop spinning due to climate change

Yes kiddies, this is a new scare story.  Be verry afraid.  It's a whole millisecond per century, and since it is a bad thing, we know it's due to climate change.

If you look at percentage, it's so many zeros that you can't count them.

Soon, half the Earth will be in permanent darkness, and the other half is a fried desert.  I read a sci-fi story about this and you can only live in the Twilight Zone.

All atmospheric motions become incomprehensible

We are now in a pattern shift for air and ocean current motions.  This is the part of chaotic motion where everything is just jiggling.

The air over Canada is so dry and clear that I cannot see any disturbances from Arctic blobs.

The cold seems happy to stay in Canada for a while.

The air is just a swirly mess.  Everybody says they are sick of the snow, - Ha.

ps the only thing fun in the world is the UK

ps I am confident of a general prediction of winter for March and April, with warmth starting middle to end of May.  Then will have our 1 to 2 months of horrible, stagnant sticky summer, and snow starting again at Halloween.  This is our standard 80's weather.  Next year we might go below that, as all the charts plunge to unknowns with the coming of a Major Ice Cycle.  Or not.

The warmies will have big parties during the summer, and may even fudge up El Nino.

ps I am getting the general idea from the Gulf of Maine temperatures.

ps the dog walk this morning was horrendous wind chill, and solid ice everywhere.
