I really liked
this article. It tells of some major potential blow-outs near population centres. I think, worrying about Yellowstone is a bit much, but Vesuvius is something. But, all in all, I think the threat from earthquakes and tsunamis, is about the same.

Anyway, I was going to say: did they just pick five volcanoes that are fairly well known, and point out that they might erupt soon? And where's Taupo on that list, eh? Real volcanic eruptions leave behind steaming holes in the ground and suspiciously flat rocky plateaus, not namby-pampy photogenic cinder cones ;)
I think she was multiplying hazard with population, to get a general risk evaluation. Using this type of scale, New York and Boston come out real high on seismic risk, even though other places are 'due' for big earthquakes.
