We continue a Spring without any significant Pacific plume activity. Whatever has happened for the last month or so, will continue to happen. We will have a standard Spring when the Arctic air mass starts breaking up. The definition of an ice cycle includes compressing the warm weather to a couple of months. During those 2 months, we will have our celebrated super-heat waves, but of short duration.
