Yeah, bog standard. Along an amazingly smooth trench that must have M9's every 3-500 years to keep things so clean. As usual, we have a one percent chance of an M9 in the next few days. After that, it goes back to the normal hazard, which is still quite high. I don't think that all those fired USGS people would help much here.
Luckily, unlike Texas, most people along the west coast are ready for the M9 tsunami that could come one day. You get like an hour or two to get to the high ground. However, the guy on the siren button may have been fired.
ps this would be fun, because if you have all the time in the world, why not load the kitchen sink and the fish tank in the car, with an extra trailer? Why not have all the teens take their own car? Imagine the traffic jams going to the only hill. And then grandpa doesn't believe it and wants to stay.
ps plus all the signs, sirens and routes were laid in 30 years ago. Can you find anything? Is everything rusty?
ps they should just call the drill right now. You've got to do something every few years.
ps as of the 17th, looks like the earthquake has shot its load. Go back to your regular worries.
