Nobody I know can be dissuaded from the love of Influencer Science. They have forgotten the last winter, and are on track to thinking this winter will be a 'blip'. There appears to be no limit to blips.
Flipping from the prediction of a very warm winter, they are now going to very cold. This makes all my friends happy. Just a few weeks ago, it was a 'short blip', but now there is no limit. Their 'explanations' break all laws of physics, and can never be measured directly. This used to be called magic, but it is now, cold hard fact, if enough people believe.
Really, it doesn't make any difference to the person on the street. It's cold or it's warm.
