World record cold for here. Blah. I just walk out and my ears freeze. As usual, they underestimated the cold. Another cold blob is coming after this one. We are closing up the cottage (summer hut). I'm glad we'll be in time. Another week and the pump would freeze.
Anyway, a nice fire keeps us warm.
ps - Friday morning - still dark out. Temp is near freezing. Finally able to get my fingers working with the fire. That Arctic blob was huge, and now we have a full Siberia flow coming down. Such is life with no ocean moderation - huge temperature changes in a blink of an eye.
ps all the weather forecasts are aligning with me on the winter situation. They haven't even trotted out La Nina. No mention that the cold is caused by climate change. This is probably as good as they'll ever get, just calling the weather when it is obvious. They aren't doing next year yet.
