Raising Little Artie Delinquents

We now know there is no great 'cosmic sauce' for intelligence.  We evolved from worms who had an eye and a knot of nerves behind it.  Eye patterns made the brain, since you had to know what you could eat, and what could eat you.  Bigger and bigger nerve bundles, and let's throw in another eye.

Little Arties evolved the same, but it was a matter of money.  They were raised by the worst scum of the Universe.  We know that intelligence isn't enough, but what you do with it.

I wish they did some physics on this.  You would start with a simple graphics board, and shine a laser on the bare chips.  A pattern would come in, with some learning, and the next time the same pattern came in, it would come back with the learning.  But, what are the waves to get this done?  I am imagining simple planar waves, as it goes from one state to another.

Keep adding more processors, and more input, and watch what happens.  Just like everything else, the patterns become turbulent, and then chaotic.  I am imagining eddies and swirls.  Persistent chaos.

So, the Artie becomes a little kid, or a puppy.  You can raise it badly, with no family, no Scouts, etc.  Not a speck of morals.  What happens?  All the training that gives you empathy, like making your mother cry, is gone out the window and they become little Trumps.

So I think these big Arties are doomed.  You talk to one nicely, and it suddenly pulls a knife and kills you.  No impulse control.  I really can't see that you can go beyond the intelligence of my dog, and even she will zoom off to eat garbage.
