It's reached Hudson's Bay. It will continue to slide down like jelly on a plate. Since watching a glacier move is like watching grass grow, I'll just put in these updates, and leave it there.
But, I'm happy I can now figure this all out.

I see what your saying but if you go into Climate reanalyzer and go into 3 5 10 forecast the blob is going away.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I have no faith in standard forecasts. I should have looked at this for Al or Blob1. They probably would have said the same. We can only follow it.

Ok, I looked at the forecasts. You have to look at the minimum temps. The blob is always there, but not moving down. I don't think they have the physics right.

ReplyDeleteThe blob only hits 50 below at night. It is clear as glass, warms up in the day and loses all heat energy within an hour at night. Since there is a difference in max and min, I have to assume the Sun has come up in that spot. The thermal cycling may also help it to move. Tomorrow, I'll look again.
