I'm impressed with these people. They are going to get 25 million Obama Bucks to do studies on a silly idea. They want to do this in Kern County, famous for massive earthquakes, and totally busted up rock. I wish them luck....
I suppose there is a lot of experience gained from natural gas storage. However neither the article or the paper I linked mention the pressure the gas would be stored at. You ever inject compressed air into a barrel? Remember to weld the lid on first.
