Bruce pulled the plug just before the anti-nukes got any fun money.<br><br>The reasoning they state and the real reasons are likely different things. As far as the EA goes, it was destined to be approved --- 97% of 'em are. What killed this was the ever-increasing price tag coupled with Smitherman's statements that Ontario would not buy a kwh of electricity from a Nanticoke nuke plant. <br><br>The estimated price went from $7 bn last November to $15 most recently. What investor in their right mind would back such a project? When Bruce finally accepted the fact that they'd never be getting any big fish to bite, they cut their losses and walked away.<br><br>Anyways, HaroldFeller, it's been good yammerin' back an' forth with you on this Nanticoke thing.
