Only 7000 birds a year are killed in the US. With 7500+ turbines, that's less than 1 bird death per turbine per year. To put this in perspective, a typical house kills 2-3/year from birds flying into windows and tens or hundreds of thousands die per year from flying into highrises at night.

The "cumulative" impact on birds from turbines is almost non-existent. If you want to save birds, take the glass out of your windows or turn your lights off at night.Bobnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9020935292186960688.post-34414657017064445452009-05-02T09:33:00.000-04:002009-05-02T09:33:00.000-04:00Amen, Bro!Amen, Bro!Harold Asmishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06458639605880944167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9020935292186960688.post-72652198468044207502009-05-01T20:51:00.000-04:002009-05-01T20:51:00.000-04:00These wind companies are raking in the huge subsid...These wind companies are raking in the huge subsidies. They don't turn off their turbines for anybody for any reason. Soon, all of Ontario's major migration routes will be covered with thousands of 400' wind turbines. So-called "environmentalists" refuse the potential cumulative damage and just see this as collatoral damage. After all, wind turbines are going to "save the world", aren't they?Bubble's Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13388032864303514183noreply@blogger.com
