Ocean currents may determine weather

Nothing broke my heart more than when the Economist went over the dark side -- climate change.  They were the last rationalists.  They should have stuck up for physics and the Scientific Method.  But, they changed, just because all their subscribing readers changed to Influencer Science.  I cancelled my subscription.

Wow, a minor ocean current could do so much.  Waddya thnk?  Of course, they have to say that climate change is stopping the current, but perhaps the whole thing was caused by ocean currents in the first place?  No, they would never say that.

Anyway, all that is garbage.  It is getting colder because it is colder.  Look at all the ocean currents, instead of just one.

ps just look at the middle of the Pacific.  Why doesn't it get any attention?

Cottage report - Aug 12, 2025

Hot. Sitting on the deck listening to all the thunderstorms coming in.  Such a visceral feeling with the storms up here.  Not like the 70's yet, but getting there.

This should end the horrible heat.  The water was magnificent, and I even stayed for a while.  We should see the impact of the sharp Arctic incursion.

This is the picture from the other day.  Takes that long to travel the wires from here.

ps  Wed.  rain came through, about 1 cm.  Just enough to shift the feeling that it is going to go up any minute now.  The Arctic blob is now on the forecast.

ps. Thurs -- really nice weather, but yesterday was hot.  Tried to adjust a toilet, and sweat was pouring everywhere.  Supposed to get cooler and cooler.

ps - our new little ice cube machine is our air conditioner.  Chugging away all day, for us to fill our drinks

Arctic jet continues

This will make for some fun weather.

The jet is so narrow that it will just cut through.  I have no idea what will happen exactly.

ps and so I say to these cities - Continue using Windows, and believe the warmies on no snow this winter.

ps we have a good ice vortex below Hudson Bay.  It would be a great opportunity to measure this, but it won't happen.  Ten bucks for physics, or brainwashing -- hmmm.

Another ice-age winter, and wadda we got?  Another dollar in snow debt.

… You load sixteen tons, what do you get?Another day older and deeper in debtSaint Peter, don't you call me, 'cause I can't goI owe my soul to the company store

Trump whips up the shooters

I think his 'Can-do' attitude is giving encouragement to all those who want to take the law into their own hands.  Trump's plan is to beat up all the blacks and dump them in some horrible place, like Alabama.  This appeals to his core base of Nastie racists, who all want to do the same.

Of course, the average Trump fan just shoots to kill.  He can't send people away in chains.  I expect an exponential increase in all this stuff.

ps fanatics always whip up the shooters.  Just noticed an illegal giant gruesome abortion banner, unfurled by two people at a busy intersection.

Canada to continue destroying the next generation

This is the Church against the Reformation.  In order to do this, they have to convince the kids not to follow the Scientific Method, and concede to the Consensus.  No dreams of new discoveries.  Just shut up kid, and read the text.

By now I was hoping that the kids would give up on being spoon-fed, and learn to discover things by themselves.  Why not measure temperatures with weather balloons?  Why not look at clear-air convection in the atmosphere?  All this is cut off from them, because measurements would come to a firm conclusion.  I'm not saying what that is, but there is a reason that physics is shut outside.

First curl forms on low-heat-energy Atlantic belt

Remember, they predicted an 'active' Atlantic hurricane season.  I've taken that to mean the top 25 percentile.  Who knows what they'll say when the season is a flop.  Most likely, they say nothing.

There's the curl forming.  To be a hurricane, it has to suck heat energy from very warm water.

The water isn't that hot.

The chart may get into the top 25%, but I doubt it.

This is the 'hurricane factory' zone they measure.  Looks sad.

The Fish Opinion is that this will be a damp squib.  If it goes for a while, it will suck all the heat energy up, leaving none for its nest-mates.

Fish and Farm

Just like last year, the Farmer's toilet paper is sticking with the Fish.  Cold, cold and colder.  The warmies are still warm, warm, and warmer.  Farmalm claims it uses astrology, but we know who they are reading.  Farmers need physics.

ps they go with two outcomes - warm or cold, heads or tails.  Their record is 50%, random flipping of the coin.  However, by lining up with the Fish, they will go to 100%.  I only remember that I am always right.

Stagnant is as Stagnant does

Back from the cottage, with slow internet.  The cottage was nice with cooler, breezy nights.  The water was cold, and I just did my famous '10 second' swim.

Quite a while ago, I predicted hot stagnant weather for the summer.  This was due to having almost no energy in the oceans.  That's what moderates our weather.  Otherwise, we follow desert rules.

Now, in July, the Gulf Stream became frisky, and started spending energy like Americans.  That is, it was draining the bank.  Now, it is done.

You can see there are no ocean plumes, and even the plumes going up the Gulf Stream are done.

The active GS was draining the gulfmex, and it's bankrupt.  During its heyday, it gave Scandyland a big heat wave, which has now moved on.

Greenland shows the flag of cold, and the blobs may still come.

This is a high-speed blob coming down, quite narrow, but we are counting on it for some rain.

Europe has lost the warm feed, and we'll just have no news at all, as it freezes.

ps that's a high-energy Arctic jet coming down

ps  who is living in a fantasy?

The birth of blobs

The Scandy-land heat wave has broken out of shame for being singled out by the warmies.  I was worried this would stop our 'Blob Factory', but it hasn't.

First, a word from our sponsor:

They just go with what worked for them before.

The baby blob bursts forth.  A smooth arc tells us it's healthy.

Pushed out by mommy Europe.

Mr. Freeze hits the land.

Hopefully, we get some rain out of this.

ps neat that Blogger has found a way to leave out Artie hits, so I'm back to real numbers.

Ends of Eras

Intel missed the boat on parallel processors.

China went whole-hog into solar cells, and EV cars

And Canada is riding the coat-tails to doom.  Just think of greenhouses growing coca leaves.

The world is cold, as we slip into an ice age, without ice advance.  For want of physics, the kingdom is lost.

ps and yeah for wind

ps our mutant San Marzano's are huge this year.  They seem to be plum tomatoes all mushed up.

State of the Oceans - Aug 6, 2025

The big questions are about Atlantic hurricanes, and Gulf Stream heat transport.  Both have no backing in heat energy.

The weather people are lip-flapping about this.  Where is their faith coming from?

There is not a speck of curl in the Atlantic band.  They are wishing upon a climateest star.

The Atlantic and Pacific bands are cold.  Lots of summer heat around the Gulf of Amexica.

Now we go into the ocean temp charts.

The world integration is going down after the summer.

The Atlantic is down.  All hope of hurricanes is on the hurricane belt, and it is diving.

The Gulf of Maine is way down, reflecting the US summer.

The mexi-gulf has had a fling, but is at the peak.  It is a huge solar cauldron, and all the heat energy went up to scandy-land.  We expect it to fizzle out.

Finally, we are going into a 'permanent La Nina'.  As I have said, no more of those cycles, but they will live on with the faith of weather people.

All in all, things are going as I expected, but the m-gulf was a huge solar heater for the scandies, which pushed cold air blobs down on NA.  These little things are the spice of life, and I enjoy being surprised.  I love being totally wrong more, especially about my doomy predictions.

This means a really cold winter for the world.  The gulf heating event is just a piss into a storm, it has no energy.  We can only be saved by a big heating event in the Pacific, and it's not happening.

ps good god, carney.  Put 10 bucks into physics.  Those islands are sinking!

ps  omg, they've got a new one

and next year they have to pull something else out of the hat.

Static hot air

Once it was mentioned in the warmie press, the Scandy heat wave has gone poof.  This may have been driving our cold air, since I don't see any cold blobs coming down.  It's the weather I predicted, which is a static hot mess.  Perhaps much better than cold, but very dry and forest firery.

On this chart, the Gulf Stream may be shifting the heat transport back south.  That leaves Scandy to slowly wither on the branch.  We'll see.
