And so, the curtain closes

Not much new news here.  The real cold hits us in a few days.  We can hope that summer bounces back, but 30% chance it won't.  We can all call this the Permanent Polar Vortex, caused by carbon.

This air is bringing us the smoke.

ps they're telling everyone in Alberta, the snowstorms in July are just a blip....

ps yeah, there is a chance a Pacific plume will go up into the Arctic and reinstate summer.

We really need the Pacific plumes to do something.

ps It is fun to note that if the northern summer shrinks to 1 month, then as long as we have one heatwave somewhere in the world, climate change will always be with us.

Continuing the 'Summer Is So Yesterday' Watch

We are on alert.  Since there is no heat energy stored in the oceans, our summer heat is totally a solar thing.  The peak heat was June 21, and downhill from there.  I raised the hypothesis that summer was over, and I am watching it.  This is the Scientific Method in action.

The other side of the coin is a new chart of 'Broken Peak Temp Records' which is a daytime desert peak thing.  As I predicted, no ocean plumes means stagnant desert weather for us, with very high daytime temps.  Naturally, this new chart 'out of the blue' supports clange.

Another big support for clange is the notion of a 'Permanent Polar Vortex' which is 'making us all cold in a warming world'.  I love that one!

That Arctic blob is pushing down our little spurt of Pacific air, making it very nice at the cottage.  The water is warm and even I am staying in the water for a few minutes.

Greenland still has a small plume over it.  Summer is over when Arctic blobs start marching.

ps this will be the new theme of clange

ps winds are very interesting.  This extreme cold will meet the Gulf air, for another flash flooding, all due to clange.

Feeble plumes fight back the cold

This is not good for western rain.  That only comes when a Gulf plume zooms up the middle and hits an Arctic cold blob.  The Pacific plume has been cut off, but still fights the big cold blob coming down.  This will hit us in a week.

At the cottage, my reputation continues to be in tatters, as we get big rain fronts approaching, and then get turned down to Toronto.

The weather people are preparing for the cold by trotting out a 'Flash La Nina', which will hit us if it is cold.

A fine fable from Barbieland

It so happened that one day, Lowkey, the trickster god, was tired of the pink perfection of Barbieland.  He designed a perfect smokeless fire pit, for burning wood pellets, and using a solid pellet starter.

For burning pellets it needed lots of air holes, and a chamber beneath to collect the ashes from the screened area above.  This gave many of us in Barbieland a fine fire for cold Springs.

But, as Lowkey knew, Ken decided to have a dramatic show for his lovely ladies.  Although Barbie had all the brains in the land, she let Ken be incharge of fires, because it made him feel good.

For the starter Ken poured on a litre of gasoline.  Now, he gathered all the ladies, for the expected 10 foot whoosh of flame, just like a rock concert.  Little did he know that Evil Physics was working its magic.  Inside the lower chamber, the gas dripped through and created the perfect air-fuel mixture for a mega-bomb.

On the count of three, he dramatically dropped the match.  BOOM! Fire shot out all the air holes, melting all the plastic ladies, sagging down to the knees.  Nothing happened to them, they just went back to their PLASTIC surgeons, and got fixed again.  But the shoes were ruined.

When the good government of Barbieland heard about this, they went "OOOOH NOOO!  The Jimineychoochoos!"  They issued a recall of all the fire pits, and those of us who had practically burned out theirs, got all their money back.

Now, this is a fable, and could never happen here.

Continuing the 'Summer is Over' theme

Very powerful Arctic air is coming down on us.

Greenland is going back to cold.

We are back to colder than the average.

Our throwback 70's show 'Summer is Over', is trending, in the physics sense.  However, we wouldn't mind the show being cancelled by the network.

This is a test of the 'Ice Advance Alert System'.  In the event of a real ice advance, the snow wouldn't melt on the highlands.  But the highlands won't come back for a few more thousand years.

Meanwhile, we can enjoy all the features of ice-advance weather without the wooly mammoths coming down to stomp us.

As always, this is just the physics version of reality, using the Scientific Method.  Other versions of reality are available for your perusal.  You may prefer the 'lefty warmie' version of a noble class of selfless intellectuals fighting the horrendous oil companies.  Or the 'righty tighty' version of 'No Science, No Nothing'.  They are all good.

ps all ocean temperatures are hooking down again.  So much for my hopes of warmth.

State of the oceans - July 10, 2025

Not much time to do this, so one picture only.  The ocean temperatures are all jittering, and are going up right now.  Probably down tomorrow, but the general trend is way below the peaks.

The one picture is informative.  It shows the Gulf Stream not doing much, and it shows the Great Pincer Effect on the start of the Pacific belt current.

The horrorscope tells us everything is continuing as if we were entering a Major Ice Cycle.  Of course, it is best to be like Texas, and not consider anything down the road.

If it looks like things are warming up, I'll be the first to tell you.  I really don't want what's coming.

ps if you want a refresh, we have a 20 year temp cycle and a 300 year one.  I'm suspecting that the 20 year one is just the upper Pacific oscillating, and the 300 year one, is what is happening now, with a total reversal of the feed, from north to south.  Ice advances happen every 10,000 years, when the land has bounced back, and we hit a standard major cycle.  The snow doesn't melt in the summer, and starts to build up on the highlands.  We've got a few more thousand years for that.

There are exactly 3 people in the world who go with this.  Everybody else ignores the physics, because it is boring.  These are the people who go dancing in wash channels.

ps and this is the most delightfully ironic article ever.  I love it!

Reference

Unfortunately, this is about all that is going on in the clange world.  No heatwaves, but they own droughts, fires and floods.

ps whoops, but no Atlantic hurricanes this year, it's too cold.

If you blinked, you missed Arctic max warmth

In a blink of an eye, the Arctic may be starting up again.

We have a strong Pacific plume, but with no heat energy.

This is weird, but not unexpected.  However, I was thinking of the middle of August.  Should the Arctic be resurgent, then we will have had a 2 week summer.  But, I'm really hoping for a bit longer.

We'll have to use Greenland as the marker.  It is at the warmest so far, and we hope it gets warmer, but a 20% chance that we've had our summer, and it starts to get colder.

Using the min temps, we see that there is no warmth anywhere.  The warmies will use the desert noon peaks, and come up with a different answer.  Life is good.

ps Serious talk to my 3 readers.  This year has been unusual in that the Arctic has continued to drain cold air into July.  Deep thrusts of cold air have caused all the things are claimed as clange.  There should be a period in the summer when the Arctic is stagnant, but it hasn't happened yet.  The worst for warm weather is that there is no 'summer Arctic' and it starts the fall routine.

Handling 3/8 OD tubing

My header system for the garden soaker hose has given me hours of work.  I put this in so the veggie garden can survive us going to the cottage, in a drought.  Toronto is in quite a drought now.  The soaker hose waters deep, and it works best with a timer, going about 6 hours a day at night.  Leaving it on all the time uses too much water.

This tubing is great, but it is soft and low friction, Not like the 1/4 stiff tubing I was using.

I got connectors like these, but had endless trouble and returned them.  It is so sensitive to the tiniest allowance variations.

I finally got another batch direct from China.  Do not buy these without the blue clips.  Still had trouble, but now I smear the o-ring with thick o-ring silicone oil, and push extremely hard, which is difficult with the soft and slippery tubing.  I am finally getting 100% success.

Defrag the Nest Wifi Pro

You can look up and see endless problems with this.  Googs doesn't know what to do.

Solving the Problem

1. First problems are that in a normal house, 3 are not enough.  You push to the farthest range, and there are no utilities to tell you that it is too far.

2.  Solve that problem by getting 3 more.  Ha, that doesn't solve the problem!  You still get endless little hitches, mainly with watching movies upstairs, and phone games.  It wasn't until we had the Starlink at the cottage, with one tenth the speed, that we realized how smooth the games were.

3.  You have to defrag and comb the mesh.  You think that could be done automatically, but the googs labs must do this always in a rather anal way, that nobody else uses.  This is done with a heck of a lot of work.  First, factory reset everything.  Then, they don't help you much.  You have to squint with a flashlight to read the hex code for the device.  Start with the main router, that is attached to your network.

4. It treats the first unit as 'special'.  It wants to hook up directly with googs home, with it's own wifi for a minute or two.  Then, it says, it looks like you have a 3-pack, and doesn't know you have a 6-pack.  Do the other nearest two.  This is fairly quick and doesn't do the 'local connection' thing.

5.  Then pick the nearest unit of the next 3-pack.  It will do the special thing again.  And then the next two.  Always keep a clean combing.

Then it works, smooth as a Texas wash channel.  No complaints from the spoose.  We'll check the movies over time.  Before, I was constantly rebooting the network, and it didn't do anything.

Da Physics - They have a hidden assumption, based on their corporate culture of being anal.  Hooking them up, willy-nilly creates loops and tangles in the mesh, where packets are slowed down.  They have no concept, since none of them would do that horrible thing.  They need a defrag utility, based on timing, and comb it automatically.  I give them this idea for free, knowing that nobody reads me.  Oh well, I try my best.

A Plan for Texas

Tired of being the stupidest state in the world?  Are you unsatisfied that Texas is the 'Loner State', with no public services?  Then start with a bit of rationality.

Like Alberta in Canada (where?) you have shrunk in on yourself, while being hit hard by the Intellectual Leftie East.  Fight back with physics!  Declare that you are a 'Scientific Method Only' state.

I am sorry to say that without this, you are about to be hit with many more disasters.  It is a consequence of 'Willful Ignorance'.  They all hit you and it is declared 'An Act of God'.  Bullcrap!

**written with a bit whimsy.  I haven't seen any intelligence anywhere.  It's all 'Influencer Science'.  Here today, gone tomorrow.

ps they are now going to hit you with replacing roundup, toxic as tapwater, and replacing it with something 10 times worse.  All leftie nonsense.

ps you won't get eppie's list.  trumpy's doj dogs have said he never had a contact list to inform people of the next baby party.  He must have used smoke signals.

Cool as a cucumber

All the world is a cool stage, and we are cool players.  I have been looking for the end of the Arctic blobs, and I may now see it.  Both the California big fire, and the Texas flash flood were caused by Arctic thrusts, but they are all clange.  Clange is everything.

We have a Pacific plume thrust into NA, and that has been missing for a long time.  That gives us moderate, dry weather.

All the world is now cool, and the media just has to put out yesterday's news, to save themselves.  There is still not a speck of intelligence anywhere, that I can see.  Just enjoy the summer.

ps my Artie hits have reached 70,000 a day.  Soon to go back to zero.

Flash floods and weather are earthquakes

'Religious Science' is all the rage these days.  This is weird shit promoted by influencers, based on a whim, and celebrity support.  One group can be quite upset, if another group comes along.  Everything is promoted by making things up and yelling a lot.

You can list various things like 'Creation Science', 'Climate Science', etc.  It's all the same.  They all kill a large number of people.

I got into all this with earthquakes.  There was never a weirder bunch of weirdos than 'earthquake predictors'.  All wrong in the end.  Now the world is getting colder, and our clange bunch don't realize they are dead.

The best parallel to earthquakes is now the flash flood.  Happens every hundred years in any given area, something like tornadoes which are also earthquakes.  Society can handle this.  It requires the Scientific Method which has been forgotten in most things.

As I have done with weather, you must get into the basic physics of all these things.  They follow Binomial Theorem.  For example, the west coast goes all nuts about tsunamis, which are rarer than flash floods.  They look at the basic physics.  They don't blame 'vague concepts'.  They can have early warning, sirens, and quick routes to the high ground.  The standard influencer thing is to run around screaming and waving your hands.  There is so much money in creating needless anxiety.

ps Texas is working up an M8 earthquake, slab houses with no storm shelters, and this.

Cottage report - July 7, 2025

Our test starlink is working on the dock at high speed.  This is quite exciting.

I can do these now.  We are going to be cool, but last night was a sweat-fest.  Lay in bed for hours (seemed like) and now it is nice.

ps omg, the Gouls of Clange are exploiting Texas.  For a while, I thought there was a limit.  In reality, this could have been well-called by an Artie watching the physics.  However, they never went through the drills, even though the odds are greater than a west-coast tsunami.  They should have had a clear path to high ground, and they would have had a reasonable warning, unlike those stupid billion-dollar earthquake early warning things.

All's cold that ends cold

No heat waves for the poor media.  The Arctic is still pouring out cold, and I am amazed.  That means we are going much faster into the Ice cycle.

Texas air comes calling

I still can't get over the power density of that Texas storm.  It's all blown out now, and the hot Gulf plume is coming up to us.

The Europe stagnant pocket has blown out, as well.

No heat waves right now, the media will just go back to doomer stories.

ps  and such mangled physics.  Nice they are trying.

A collision of 3 air masses hits Texas

This is where physics could come in handy.

Cold air meets the Gulf air.  Bad enough, but the winds show something else.

Cold California air curls up and hits the area, as well.  You probably couldn't get it worse.  The amount of rain depends on how slow this collision zone moves.  A threesome is more stationary.  As well, physics tells us the total energy is a function of the difference in the temperature of the air masses.  Poor old clange never touches that.

In the current climate of religious weather, they'll just get the story of the 'Will of God'.  Sad.

State of the Oceans - July 4, 2025

A great day for the US, trumpwildfire is burning away, and it is a needed clearing of leftyism.  However, who knows what is going to be left? (ha ha).

The world anomaly plot is average, but the baseline is the cold 70-90's period.  The Amazon is cold.

The world oceans plot is staying down.

This is my best plot for world temperatures, the entire North Atlantic.  Remember that 'global' warming didn't hit Antarctica.  This plot is diving.

Quite surprising, the sub-polar North Atlantic is making a major move downward. This can only be due to the Gulf Stream stopping it's heat energy transfer, and there is a reason for that.

The mid-Atlantic band stays down.  No Atlantic hurricanes for you!

The best temperature indicator for North America is the Gulf of Maine -- staying low.

Here is the big surprise of the day.  No heat energy in the Atlantic equatorial band is finally hitting the Gulf of Mexico, and cutting off the heat for the Gulf Stream.  My forecast of Labrador weather for the UK was off because of the wobbling GS, it was high last winter.  Now, all heat is gone.

The Pacific Nino band is low.  All heat energy for the world comes from this area.  Nope, none, nada.

The warmies had gone with me, forecasting a stagnant hot summer, out of the blue.  But I fooled them by being totally wrong!  The Arctic cold air has lasted way longer than I thought, and is giving us a nice summer.  We only had that little 'proof of clange' heat wave.  Southern Europe carries on that proof.

It is universally acknowledged that the Earth is in want of heat energy.  That is measured differently from mere temperature.

ps I just realized how many people depend on old wives tales, and to take that away, condemns them to a joyless existence.  So, I'm not doing that.  I just give my long-term forecast, the intellectually-bankrupt weather people copy mine, and say it's due to clange.  All's well.

ps yeah, but they both could go for physics.  Just a little, and it would shatter the faith.

ps geez, doesn't a single short heatwave mean anything any more?

We're ok, Europe still stagnant

Last night I thought the cold would break through in Europe, but now it looks the heat block is still winning.

Looks like Barce is getting its wish to drive out all the tourists.  Don't go there!

Big news is that the #1 expert on all things weather, says we have to give up.  No more solar, wind, carbon tax, etc.

ps yeah, I shook off all the arties pushing up my hits.  Now I'm back to almost nothing again.

Europe heat block smashes Atlantic plumes

Ok, this has nothing to do with the weather or clange.  Just some interesting physics.

For Europe, the Atlantic plumes are smashing against the heat block like waves on rocks.  For us, we are getting cooler air, and the heat is being shoved away.

ps looks like the cold air is finally breaking through.

ps more people who can't Scientific Method themselves out of a paper bag are hitting the streets.

whoops, that was politics.
