Microplastics, also know as dust are following climate change in every way.
Main Theme - microplastics are the new DDT, threatening to kill us all
Marxist theory - Microplastics are dumped on us by the evil oil companies
Methods of argument - This uses every trick from climate change, and is pure Influencer Science. Mostly driven by 'selective vision', there isn't one speck of the Scientific Method.
Economic Cost - you think eliminating 'single use plastics' and making everything 'double use plastics' was bad, wait until you see the impact of this. Potential cost of trillions and driving the standard of living so low, that a billion lives will be lost.
Main principle - the good thing is that plastic breaks down as bacteria and ozone eats it up. During the final phase to oblivion, it must be dust, a very small portion of the whole journey. Selective vision allows measurement of this dust, over all the other junk in our bodies. They just show the microplastics, which are ten times better than silica (volcanic dust) which humans rolled in for 8 million years.
Physics - plastic dust is more inert than silica dust. A comprehensive 'dust survey' for the human body would show how we take care of dust, encapsulate it, and poop it out. Always been that way, alway will. This is no more a hazard than the famous 'nano particle' sunscreen scare. We have fire smoke to thank for our resistance to all of this.
The formula for all of this is to have a weird conjecture, and influence the heck out of it. All measurements will be leaning to 'confirm' it, as that's where the money is. The fundamental cash flow is from 'anxiety merchants' who suck the money from nervous people.
ps Anyway, looks like influencers are on the way out. They don't have to be commie any more. I might get on that pushes the Scientific Method.
