Arctic ice volume and area

I'm not going to give a physics interpretation of these charts.  I might say, look how it's turning around, and a warmie fanatic would say - look at the past decline.

We got a bit of a dip because of the 'last gasp' heating event, but the volume is coming up nicely.  Ice Volume would be the best indicator if it was measured directly, but it is calculated from other things.

This is the volume, averaged out more.  I say that's a hook of more significance than the famous 'hockey stick', but who am I?

This is sea ice extent or area.  Because the Arctic ice is so confined, it can only expand in area by freezing down the Greenland Gap.  That is controlled by the Gulf Stream, that is, a more northern GS, and the ice doesn't get far, regardless of anything else in the world.

This is the minimum extent.  It allows Russia to sell oil from northern refineries that haven't been hit yet.  But the ice will fill in.  The GS still seems strong in the north, so I doubt I'll have my Little Ice Age indicator of the northern islands being encased.  Maybe next year.
