Expect false alarms for earthquake warning

Article

Nothing much to say here.  The whole concept of earthquake early warning is really stupid.  Then you have to add all the false alarms.  Like I've said before, they are projecting 2 significant digits when they don't even have 1.

But, didn't the whole concept of earthquake early warning save lives at the Tohoku event? As all the bullet trains were stopped right in the last second? The article also Mentions: "The agency said it was the first time since 2009 that it issued a false alert, and the first time it did so on such a wide regional scale." So, not too bad in the end: One successful alert with a M9.1 and one false alarm...
