M5.1 earthquake North Korea, at 1 km depth


Wonder what this could be?  No fault plane solution, but it would probably be solid compressive.  :)

This was confirmed to be a result of the nuclear test that NK recently performed. They detonated a 7-10 kiloton device according to USGS. This was originally reported to be a 4.9 quake, and was later upgraded to 5.1.

Yes, I was being silly. No earthquakes in North Korea. Once it is confirmed, the seismic people must take it off the earthquake map.
