Parallel line to New Madrid fault complex

I find this interesting, but only a 30% chance of developing into something serious.  As I've said, the New Madrid system has shot its load, meaning it is all in a stress shadow.  The only way to resuscitate this dead body, is for it to grow into the surrounding stress field.  It is also possible for the surrounding rock to crumble, thus closing the arch of low stress.

I've been looking for the central section to start extending, but it isn't.  However, we may be getting a parallel section starting.  Since it is a straight line, its only effect might be to load the central section.
