Turkey Earthquake: M7.3

This is just off the wire as I woke up.  It looks really bad, but I haven't looked at the news yet.

Estimated fatalities looks in the thousands.

The city of Van was hit with an MM of 9, which has a PGV of over 100 cm/s.

Update

Looks like it was grossly overestimated.  Only 50 injured.

Update 2

Back up to 1000, maybe more.  If there were total collapses, then not many would be taken to hospital.

against the calamities by nature. Particularly earth quakes which happen in a flash but leaves a loss that takes a long time to recover. What we can do is to pray for the victims. Let's do it.

Or you could search for the victims and send aid money... but praying is easier. Do you pray to the God based on denomination of the victim or your own belief?

Now, now, I left the religious comment in because it was harmless. Praying for the victims just helps your own 'brain religious module' send out the good juices to calm your mind. You should then be clear for more positive action. :)

ps. any more religious discussion will be ruthlessly wiped!
