Leda Clay Pottery

Article

Lalonde gave Clague a gift for making his presentation — a small pot by a local artisan.
It was made with Leda clay.

Forget the contents of this article!  I want a Leda Clay Pot!  Does it liquefy when I jump up and down?

Hey Harold -
I'm over here on the Rideau River, just outside of Ottawa. You mention Leda Clay and pottery…. What I'm trying to find out is if there's any clay (reasonably near me) that would be suitable for pottery. I'm not a potter, but wondered if it would be possible to produce plates, bowls, cups, etc. hyper-locally. Would you drop me a line and let me know if you can put me in touch with your friend that made the Leda clay piece or if you know of someone, by chance, who might have some particular insight into my question.

Kindest, Andrea Cordonier

The original article is lost. Lots of preparation probably needed.
