Countdown to Chaiten column collapse

The volcano has entered a steady state which means it is running out of juice. If there no wind, and the cutoff is sudden, there will be a massive flood of hot gas and lava chunks. The best one can hope for is a slow death.

experts say its graeter detection and media reporting.
i say theres something fishy going on.
i experienced the kent england earthqake last year.
just like what you see on geographic or discovery channels.

I was waiting for someone to say that! As a certified doom-monger, I've always felt that the few years have been a bit light in the natural disaster department. In fact, we've had a bit of a holiday for the last hundred years or so.

As I have droned on and on, this has allowed our fearless leaders to become a bit sloppy...

I had been wondering if the level of global seismic activity was random or had a pattern. I found a,
few, articles that claim there are more large earthquakes near the minimum of the 11 year sunspot cycle that at the maximum. We are near the minimum of the solar activity cycle now I believe.

You can correlate all you want, and get lovely patterns, but it doesn't mean anything. Random things occur in clusters, because to be absolutely evenly spread out, wouldn't be random!
